In short: A mental performance coach assesses which mental factors affect your performance, sets goals with you and trains you in concrete tools (routines, breathing, self-talk, visualization) to use in practice and competition.
If you have never worked on your mental performance, it is normal not to know what to expect. This is what it usually looks like.
1. First call
A short conversation to understand what is going on and see if we are a good fit.
2. Assessment and goals
We look at when the difficulty shows up and set measurable goals.
3. Mental training
Weekly sessions where you learn and practice tools: breathing, pre-competition routines, self-talk, visualization and attention control.
4. Practice and adjust
You take the tools to the field and we adjust what works in every session.
And with teams?
I also work with teams, coaches and clubs. See the section for clubs and professionals.
